I grew up near West Bend, Wisconsin. My brother is one of my best friends and got all the gifts from God that I didn’t. My sister is a nurse and makes me proud. My siblings have wonderful, fun, godly spouses. My parents live in my heart in everything I do. I’ve lived in Menomonie 4 years after moving 9 times in 6 years during my schooling and internships. I’m married to my sweetheart and rock, Alissa. I have three wild and smart kids who keep me humble.
Robert Buss grew up in Milwaukee, WI. He attended St John’s Lutheran School from K-8 and Wisconsin Lutheran High School before attending Martin Luther College in New Ulm, MN where he graduated with a dual degree in elementary education with a secondary English certification and a minor in social studies. He has served at St. Luke’s in Oakfield, Milwaukee Public Schools, Siloah Lutheran school in Milwaukee, Hope High School and St. Marcus in Milwaukee before coming to St Paul’s in 2016 to serve as a multi-grade classroom teacher and principal. Mr. Buss was a founding member of Koine and Forgiven and also established the St. Marcus Mustang Drumline and color guard. He enjoys trips to a family cabin in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan with his wife and four children, and all love Menomonie and their dog Rico.
Kristin Hadenfeldt~ Early Childhood Director
Kristin was born and raised in Fond du Lac, WI. She is happily married to her husband Loren and they have two teenage daughters, Kyra and Aleya. As a family they like to go camping, hiking, and exploring. Kristin is enjoys runner as well as cooking, crocheting, and spending time with her family.
Miss Tinkey is a Floridian by birth but grew up in Dowagiac (Doe-WAH-jack,) Michigan. She was taught by Preschoolers and Kindergartners for one year at her home congregation prior to coming to St. Paul’s. She is currently taught by Kindergartners and First Graders and loves helping young brains grow.
Hope is a 2019 graduate of Martin Luther College. While she is a natural home body, she enjoys traveling the world to see God’s beautiful creation. If she isn’t doing school things, she can be found hanging out with her family, taking photographs, or going for a run.
Mr Travis Hahn joined the staff at St Paul’s in September 2019. He is motivated to engage students of all ages and abilities. Travis has an extensive background in working with children and experiences include special and regular education, community based programs and UW Stout. Travis has a degree from UW Stout, and he and his wife Michelle have 3 children and have been members of St Paul’s since 2008.
Kelly was hired as the preschool aide in the fall of 2019. She lives in Menomonie with her husband and two daughters. She graduated from Life Christian University with a Masters in Theology and also serves as the director of the children’s ministry at Love Church in Menomonie.
Mrs. Buss has been teaching art and fiber related arts to children and adults for almost two decades. Mrs. Buss received her Bachelor’s Degree in Fine Arts with a concentration in Fibers and a Minor in Art history from UW-Milwaukee in 2000. She keeps active in her studio practice, shows her work in exhibitions, and creates work for her online store and presence. She has been an art teacher at St Paul’s since 2018.
A native of the Fox Valley area, Mrs. Batzer and her husband moved to Menomonie in 2013 and has served as the Executive Administrative Assistant since 2019. She holds a double major in music and Spanish from Lawrence University and has previous professional experience in the financial and healthcare industries. In her spare time she enjoys reading, cooking and baking as well as chasing her two feline companions.
Brittany Menting~ School Secretary & Communications Director
Brittany grew up and graduated in Durand and currently resides in Menomonie. She has two kids with her husband, Isaac. When she is not busy with her kids, she enjoys being outside, reading, being crafty, and traveling.
